GBG operates across several districts in Uganda, partnering with local farming communities at every stage of the plantation-to-biochar cycle.

Phase 1 — Active

Plantation Establishment

Contracting smallholder farmers, delivering certified seedlings, and supporting establishment of eucalyptus plots across target districts. Initial plots are already in their second year of growth.

Kiln Installation

Deploying retort kilns at strategic collection points near plantation clusters. Each kiln processes harvested biomass into both sustainable charcoal for local markets and premium biochar for soil application.

Biochar Application & MRV
